Vintage 45: Rory Storm and The Hurricanes "I Can Tell" B/W Faron's Flamingos "Let's Stomp". Very rare promotional 45 on Columbia Records, issued to promote the LP "The Exciting New Liverpool Sound", featuring two tracks from that LP. Issued in 1964.
One of the very few official releases by Rory Storm And The Hurricanes, Ringo Starr's band before he joined The Beatles. This is a 1964 recording, Ringo does not play on it. Faron's Flamingos were another Liverpool band of The Beatles era, both songs are good up tempo rock and roll.
"Let's Stomp" has a spoken intro by Bill Harry of "Mersey Beat" fame.
Condition: VG/VG-, wear to labels, numerous scuffs and scratches on the vinyl. Plays through without skips, noticeable surface noise before and after the music, still an enjoyable listen.
