Description
Up for auction is a copy of Revolver by The Beatles, released in 1966 on Parlophone cat no PMC 7009, a mono UK copy. This is a rare first pressing with side 2 bearing a matrix number XEX 606-1, indicating that it includes a slightly longer & otherwise unreleased version of “Tomorrow Never Knows” which was withdrawn at the last minute due to John Lennon’s dissatisfaction with the mix. A few copies escaped though; this is one of them. One of the key albums in a rare Beatles collection.
Condition: a few marks on each side, some looking pretty unpleasant, but they knew how to cut records in 1966, and this copy plays just fine with occasional clicks & pops, but no jumps, sticks or distortion. A-side label has traces of sticker removal (but no tears!). Cover has a few spots & creases, but no serious damage/writing/tears etc. VG-/VG+ (vinyl/cover), but plays VG+.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £4 (UK 1st class), £5 (UK recorded) £6.50 (Europe) £9 (rest of world-airmail). Insurance recommended for orders over £25; I am not responsible for parcels that go missing in the post!
