VINYL: EXCELLENT+ / APPROACHING NEAR MINT
The vinyl retains a beautiful deep, mirror-like gloss and presents exceptionally well.
Under normal viewing it looks remarkably clean, with only the slightest evidence of previous handling/play becoming apparent under close inspection and strong angled light.
Visual grade: EX+ / approaching NM
AUDIO: EXCELLENT+ – FULLY PLAY-TESTED
The entire album has been carefully play-tested from beginning to end.
Playback is exceptionally clean, clear and detailed throughout, with excellent original stereo reproduction.
There is only very faint background crackle between a few tracks, together with no more than a couple of isolated low-level pops noticed during the entire album. Near the beginning of “Within You Without You” there is also a short sequence of approximately seven very faint ticks in the right stereo channel. These are quiet and did not detract from the listening experience.
Otherwise, the album plays remarkably cleanly throughout.
No skips or jumps.
Audio grade: EX+
LABELS
The original yellow/black Parlophone labels are exceptionally clean and well preserved, with strong colour and crisp printing.
Please see the detailed photographs.
GATEFOLD SLEEVE: EXCELLENT (EX)
Original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold sleeve with early wide/flat spine.
The spine measures approximately 7–8 mm across at the centre, with a ruler photograph included specifically to document this.
The front cover presents superbly, retaining excellent colour and beautiful laminate gloss.
There are two very small thumbnail-shaped laminate wrinkles/ripples on the front. These are extremely difficult to see during normal viewing and are mainly noticeable when the sleeve is angled under strong light. They have been photographed as clearly as possible.
The gatefold interior remains bright and attractive, with some expected age-related fading/discolouration along sections of the internal fold-over edges.
The rear cover also presents very well.
Overall, a highly attractive and well-preserved original 1967 sleeve.
Grade: EX
ORIGINAL PSYCHEDELIC INNER SLEEVE: EXCELLENT (EX)
Complete with the original red/white psychedelic inner sleeve.
The sleeve remains intact and presents very well, with some expected age-related fading/discolouration.
A very good surviving original example.
Grade: EX
ORIGINAL SGT. PEPPER CUT-OUT INSERT: NEAR MINT (NM)
Original green Sgt. Pepper card insert.
Complete, uncut and exceptionally well preserved.
Grade: NM
