BEATLES - SGT PEPPER - EARLY UK MONO PRESS VINYL LP 1969 XEX-637-1/XEX-638-1.
An excellent original copy. This is a third pressing from 1969. It has the original yellow parlophone label, and is much sought after.
Some age related issues: There is some signs of age on the sleeve. I'd rate it as a strong VG+, if it weren't for a slight nick in the cover beside the spine (shown in covers), so a VG. The 'emitex' inner sleeve is original and in excellent condition, but the colourful red inner appears to be "too new to be true" and was probably a replacement.
The good: The vinyl is in excellent condition, plays beautifully without cracks, ticks or background noise. Many audiophiles regard these early mono copies as the best sounding pressings of this record, as they are the mixes that Lennon and McCartney directly oversaw (Stereo mixes were done by EMI engineers). It has the original inner and the original cut-outs.
