Description
Here is a rare original 'factory sample' mono copy of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles on UK black and yellow Parlophone. It is in lovely condition, plays beautifully, and comes complete with a nice unsplit psychedelic inner sleeve and a perfect uncut sheet of Pepper cut-outs. The disc's matrices are 1/1 and the mother stampers are 2 - A and 2 - H, showing this to be a very early pressing indeed. There is a K T tax code on side one. The vinyl is in strong VG+ condition with only a very few of the lightest scuff/surface marks to be seen when critically examined under strong halogen lighting, and certainly no deep feelable scratches of any kind. At first glance it looks like there is no separate banding of tracks on either side. Both labels look lovely with no unwanted markings or damage of any kind. The 'factory sample' sticker on side one looks clean and perfect - no finger nails have ever attempted to remove it! There is virtually no evidence of any spindle marks on either of these black and yellow labels, and certainly no sign of any spindle wear. I have tested this rarely played disc all the way through, both sides, and it delivers vibrantly with no skips and no jumps. The fully laminated flipback gatefold sleeve is in fine VG+ condition with just a little light creasing, a small area of light markings of the top right front panel (possibly sticker residue), some light scoring/indentations on the rear panel, no rips or tears and lovely strong straight opening edges showing both vinyl and cut-out sheet have rarely been accessed. Good luck if you are bidding - and don't forget to check out my other items. Treasured items such as this are posted tracked and carefully packaged with the vinyl removed from the sleeve to ensure they reach you as they leave me. Swift payment by Paypal appreciated please.
