** Rare 1967 UK Parlophone VERY FIRST PRESSING (-1/-1) in MONO with original CUT OUTS CARD and rare RED FLAME INNER SLEEVE **
Record:
A Very Good condition disc. "The Gramophone Co" text on the rims of both labels. "Sold in UK" text on both labels. Quite a few surface marks/scuffs/light scratches. Some marks at the beginning of Side 1 which cause a few audible noises for a few revolutions (see photos). No spindle marks. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, or writing on labels. Very good clean labels on both sides. Good sound quality in general. A few fairly minor clicks at the beginning of both sides, but nothing too distracting. Some minor general surface noise. This remains a very listenable LP - particularly in the MONO mix, which is how THE BEATLES wished you to hear it in the first place. (Including the never-ending voices at the end of Side 2..) Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve:
Fully-laminated gatefold sleeve, with flipbacks to top of the inside of the sleeve, in Very Good+ condition, with some general wear - particularly to the corners, opening edge, and spine. No writing anywhere. No major creasing. No seam splits. Some wear and creasing to spine, but text still visible, although slightly worn.
Cut Outs Card:
Cut Outs Card in Excellent condition, with no tears, rips, or writing. A couple of minor creases.
Red Flame Inner Sleeve:
Original Red flame inner sleeve in Very Good condition. Some writing and marks on one side (see photo). There is a 13cm split to the centre of the lower seam. Some creasing and general wear.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
