The great masterpiece UK recording from the Beatles, prolific in the studio, and given a luxury of time and attention!
They were the best band of the times, and the music doesn't diminish with age.
This UK pressing s a special album, and was the best of the era for most musicians and public in general.
It's a landmark in music.
The rarer MONO issue was how the band completed the master, leaving the Stereo mix to their engineers to finish.
The opinion of many - included John Lennon - that MONO was the better sounding mix!
Certainly the separation/imaging sounds wonderful, and the bass mix is superb!
There's a certain 'realness' about this Mono playback that gives many audiophiles to seek it out - it becomes understandable when listening to this album.
The earlier Stereo lps certainly didn't make the grade compared to the Mono issues.
In my opinion, it wasn't until 'Magical Mystery Tour' when Beatles releases became better in Stereo, though some aficionados might argue that too!
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT, playing through loud and clear. There is one short needle trail into 'A Little Help From My Friends', playing without problem that I can hear.
Yellow on Black PARLOPHONE Lables are EXCELLENT, raised 'K T' on Side 1, very few spindle lines.
The FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER is VG+ with some general wear, left bottom corner damage, and a large sticker on the rear. This is removable but will take time and patience.
Gimmick INSERT is intact, clean and flat, and the wavy INNER SLEEVE is also included.
A REALLY NICE COPY OF A RARE EDITION, and of a TOP, LANDMARK RECORDING!
