ON OFFER TODAY IS THIS EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE BEATLES 1967 1ST UK MONO RELEASE OF "SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND" ON THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL. PMC 7027, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1ST UK PRESSING WITH -1 MATRICES.

On the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027

Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims

No KT Tax code on either label.

Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' PATENTS PENDING OUTER SLEEVE.

A NOTE ABOUT EMI STAMPERS:

EMI MATRIX AND STAMPER NUMBERS / LETTERS WERE PRESSED INTO THE RUN-OFF-GROOVE AREA OF EACH EMI VINYL THAT WAS PRODUCED. USUALLY, AT THE 9 O'CLOCK POSITION, THERE WOULD APPEAR A MOTHER NUMBER WHICH WOULD INDICATE WHICH MOTHER STAMPER WAS USED TO PRESS THE RECORD. i.e. 1 = FIRST MOTHER, 2 = SECOND MOTHER ETC. 

AT THE THE 3 O'CLOCK POSTION, EMI AGAIN ASSIGNED DIFFERENT STAMPER CODES TO INDICATE WHICH PRESSING OF EACH MOTHER STAMPER WAS CHRONOLOGICALLY PRODUCED. THE CODE WAS BASED ON "GRAMOPHONELTD" WITH EACH LETTER REPRESENTING A NUMBER, i.e. G = 1, R = 2, A = 3, PROCEEDING THROUGH TO D = TO 0.

Condition

Labels: EXCELLENT + 

Each Label has superb Bold Text. No moderate amount of fading is apparent to any font. As you can see from our multi - angular pictures of the actual item for sale, they present themselves Excellently. There is only minor spider traces throughout on both sides with No writing, No Scuffs, No Compression indentations with absolute minimal wear.

Vinyl Visual: EXCELLENT

Both surfaces of this heavy copy are clean & glossy with no surface grime. The Vinyl lies 100% flat with no Warping at all. The vinyl HOLDS VERY FEW light hairlines with these being absolute minimal. In fact, these Very Few light Hairlines are certainly Clarified has being extraction Hairlines. Visually Excellent at least.

Play: EXCELLENT +++

This copy has obviously received VERY VERY FEW PLAYS with Absolutely No significant deterioration to the sound quality. There are No Minor, No Moderate or NoMajor audible faults throughout.There are No Jumps, No Sticks, No Pops only Extremely Low and Barely Audible Minor crackle.

VERY GOOD

This respectable example of "Garrod and Lofthouse"  outer sleeve has a clean front panel with some handling & storagewear. This is the earliest of Sleeves with the rare  "PATENTS PENDING" text in the Bottom Right corner of the Rear sleeve. There is minimal wear and discolouration to the rear. The Triple-fold margins have only minor cracks, with Some corner Bumps and Moderate wear to the spine. There is No Writing or Laminate peel.

Insert cut- out "Moustache"

Near Mint

This Darker Green 1st press "Moustache" Cut - Out Insert is fantastically Near Mint, with No Tears, No Creasing, No Biro Or Writing and absolute Minimal discolouration.

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with just minor storagewear with one seam split but cetainly No tears, No writing, No excessive Discolouration and No excessive creasing.
