Description
For sale is a stunning original first UK mono pressing of The Beatles' seminal 1967 album "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" in all-round EXCELLENT+ condition. -1 matrixes with original yellow, silver and black parlophone labels in stunning glossy flipback laminated gatefold sleeve. A superb example now over half a century old!
This copy is COMPLETE with psychedelic fool inner and cut-out insert.
A TOP COPY of this very desirable collectible record, in very difficult to find strong EXCELLENT+ condition throughout.
Detailed grading as follows.
Sleeve
The superb glossy flipback Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in confident EXCELLENT+ condition with minimal wear.
There are one or two very minor areas of laminate lift, very minor corner and edgewear, but nothing AT ALL worrying. NO ringwear, splits, tears, marks, large creases or worrying portions of laminate lift. The spine is neat and fully legible. Still cracks on opening as if fresh for the first time!
This cover is a beautiful, neat glossy example with only very minor storage wear which has been very carefully looked after and is in fantastic condition for its 51 year age. Very hard to find in this condition.
Record
Side One Matrix: XEX 637-1
Side Two Matrix: XEX 638-1
The record is in particular astonishing and appears to have been played carefully only a couple of times. The side one label has the desirable raised 'K T' tax code. There are absolutely no mentionable scratches or worrying marks to both sides, just a small number of exceedingly light wispy hairlines visible under very strong light and close inspection which have probably been caused by the inner sleeves. No warping - lies completely flat on the turntable. There is very, very faint minor spindling to each of the labels which is only visible under close inspection in bright light. Both sides and labels grade a strong EX+
THE RECORD APPEARS NEAR MINT UNDER NORMAL LIGHTING CONDITIONS.
The iconic psychedelic ‘fool’ is in EX+ with no tears or splits, just some minor wrinkling.
The cutout inner is in NM condition, as new.
Overall this is a stunning copy, fit for the discerning collector!
Will be packaged very securely and sent 1st class signed for. Any questions, just ask!
