Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Beatles Second Album, cat no CPCS 103. This is an export pressing, issued by Parlophone in 1965 mainly for distribution within US bases in Europe (this album was originally only issued in the USA). This is a first pressing, with black/yellow labels & a flipback cover, with 1-R stamper numbers on both sides. Very rare.
Condition: vinyl is overall not too bad. However, there is an ugly mark on “You Really Got a Hold On Me”, which produces clicks, and a couple of jumps. If it weren’t for this defect, it would be a VG to VG+. Labels are problem-free apart from the usual spindle trails. The cover has a few laminate creases, but is otherwise fine: no writing, tears, splits or serious damage. G+/VG+ (vinyl/cover).
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
