THE BEATLES - Sgt PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

Very rare 1967 UK PARLOPHONE Mono first pressing LP PMC 7027

· matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1 with 4 ALH & 10 MMOstampers
and KT to side 2 spindle hole. VINYL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending SLEEVE IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION Red & white "Fool" inner in EXCELLENT (untorn & unsplit)
Cut-out insert in MINT(-) condition (but MINT, really)
A superb item, with all elements displaying only very light wear and absolutely no serious problems at all. Copies in this condition simply do not turn up every day. The vinyl displays only very light surface marks, and is free from serious wear or audible scratches and playing problems. The sleeve is quite a stunner, with no major wear to note at all. I hope the photos speak for themselves. Awesome condition!
The problematic original red and white inner sleeve is also in very strong, undamaged condition, and that is very rare indeed!! This inner sleeve, as you all know, was manufactured exclusively for first pressing Sgt. Peppers, so, unlike other 60s albums, once it's damaged, torn and sad-looking, you can't just grab the nearest Mrs Mills album and swap over inner sleeves! No, somewhere along the line you have to sacrifice a whole album to complete your copy, and you'll have to work extremely hard to track down this inner sleeve in anything approaching this, nice condition, with only light age-discolration to note. No tears or splits!! The cut-out insert is in top, Near Mint condition. I say Near Mint simply because I refuse to grade any 40 year old album as MINT, but in this case MINT would be an apt grading. You won't find better.

I would just like to clarify my description/grading. The vinyl is in EX condition, the sleeve, a superb EX+, the inner sleeve is a nice, undamaged EX, and only the insert is Near Mint, not the complete item as a whole. A very, very nice item all round, but not grading as Near Mint apart from the insert.
