Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1967 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. SCRANTON MONO PRESSING of the landmark 1967 Capitol Records LP titled 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number MAS 2653, thick rigid vinyl pressing . Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original psychedelic inner sleeve and with its original thin cardboard cutout insert.
-Original mono colorband label that came with red/white inner sleeve and cardboard cut-out sheet (see photos).
-A2 title "A Little Help From My Friends"
-A7 title includes exclamation point on the rear cover, but no exclamation point on the label.
-B4 title includes comma on the rear cover, but no comma on the label.
-B5 shown as "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Reprise" on the label (i.e., no parenthesis).
-Does not have NEMS or Maclen Music credits on the back, lower right corner.
Capitol Recods Pressing Plant Scranton pressing, denoted by "IAM" in a triangle stamped in runouts. Remainder of runouts etched.

Condition of record is somewhat better than is usually seen with original mono copies of this album - Condition of record is a high VG+ with all original gloss and a few surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Condition of cover is a low VG+ with a very small area at the bottom of the back cover slick that is torn away and missing, a small name written in the bottom right area of the back cover in blue ballpoint, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Custom psychedelic inner sleeve has a small split in the middle of its bottom edge which I have repaired with clear tape, no other real flaws. Thin cardboard cutout insert has some very slight wrinkles and a little age discoloration on its blank back side.
This scarce mono Scranton press copy of a historic landmark LP would make a choice addition to any Beatles or rock-n-roll record collection!
