Notes/Comments:  

This is the first issue of this reel tape, determined by the color of the box, which in this case is brown. Reissues were in blue boxes. Released on 1st June, 1967, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the band's eighth album became the soundtrack to the "summer of love" but its appeal is timeless. Work had begun on the recording in late 1966.

Reel Condition:  I have 100 percent play tested this tape. There are no dropouts and no noisy spots.

Box Condition:  No broken box corners, hinge is intact, box interior is only slightly yellowed, box does not smell, no tape, writing or stickers on the box. Front artwork is rated 9 on 10 scale due to some minor spots but there is virtually no wear to the graphic. The rear is rated 8.5 on 10 scale due to some areas of discoloration. Spine label has a very small amount of wear on the '2653' printing. Overall a very nice box.

Quality Counts:  Leader tape (3M timing) and reversing foil have been added (5-14-2017) for machines with reversing sensors. All of my leader ends are secured in the reel with soft foam to keep the tape from unwinding during storage and shipment. Foam inserts are placed around the reels in the reel box to stop the reel from rattling around during shipment. The tape will be inside of a new plastic bag and the box will be also.
