Description

The BEATLES - SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

A nice condition copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Beatles classic with glossy vinyl, lovely gatefold sleeve, original red/flame/psychedelic inner and unused cut-out, and excellent stereo sound quality throughout

Year/Label :  UK Parlophone 1967

Label number :  PCS 7027

Matrix numbers :  YEX 637 - 1  /  YEX 638 - 1

Stampers :  2 P  /  2 0

1967 UK 1st press Beatles classic with very good plus (VG+) condition weighty, completely flat and  jet black sheen vinyl - there are just a few wispy hairlines and very, very light surface paper scuff marks on each side but only really detectable with closer scrutiny under a bright light; excellent (EX) condition and fully legible labels though there are some faint faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each - the "K" and "T" tax codes are embossed upon the side 2 label; very good plus (VG+) condition fully laminated outer gatefold sleeve with just some very minor edge scuffing in the middle of the bottom reverse side edge, some light cardboard "crinkling" on the spine along with a couple of "nicks" and slightly more noticeable scuffing at the top 2cm of the spine, and some mild corner rubbing. There are also just a few non-obvious 1-2 cm surface laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the front edges and the reverse side spine. All art work/colours/photos/text remain in vibrant condition with great definition still; original "flame"/red & white inner sleeve with a 6cm split on the bottom edge accompanied by a horizontal crease towards the bottom edge and some general light handling/shelf wear; original "as new" Peter Blake inner cut-out;  excellent (EX) STEREO audio quality throughout with no sticks, repeats, skips, or clicks, and background crackle is at an absolute minimum - barely noticeable at all, in fact - and great tone and clarity throughout with each track remaining an excellent and timeless listen.

A nice copy with some minor blemishes and impressive stereo audio quality. A "must" for any Beatles vinyl collection.

POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £5 using Royal Mail 1st class signed for;

for continental Europe £14 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for,

and for the rest of the world £20 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
