Description
THE BEATLES: SGT PEPPER 1967 1ST UK MONO PRESSING ON PARLOPHONE Cat No. PMC 7027
1967 first mono pressing, with "wide spine" Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve. Original printed red and white "Fool" inner sleeve and also a fully intact cut-out sheet. A really collectable record which doesn't play perfectly (see full details below) but this is reflected in the asking price.
CONDITION OF VINYL The vinyl has not been played to death but does have noticeable lines and scuffs to the surface. On test, these result in some minor surface noise and, at various points, clicks and crackles. The stylus didn't stick at any point and I didn't hear any skips. The music is never overwhelmed by these issues and overall it is an enjoyable listen. Overall grade is VG-.
CONDITION OF SLEEVE The gatefold sleeve is in very presentable condition, with just a little creasing/compression at the spinesome minor handling and shelf wear. The cut-out sheet is in near mint condition. The "Fool" inner has a split to the bottom edge but is otherwise in really nice shape. Overall grade is VG+.
