Take a sec and check it out, on either eBay or any other selling platform: YOU WON'T FIND THIS ALBUM. That is what the collector calls "a rarity", "highly sought after", "hard to obtain", and so on...
On offer today, a terribly rare copy of the French first press of Sgt. Pepper, released on Yellow/Black Parlophone, holding a "BIEM" Credit as well as "MADE IN FRANCE" and British XEX matrix numbers. It's an early, true first press, dating back to June 1967, when Odeon was unable to satisfy a crushing request of the long announced new Beatles album and hence came up with a "hybrid", where vinyl was pressed in the U.K., and covers being printed in and imported from either the United Kingdom or Germany.
Contrary to a still (whysoever) widespread opinion, releases on Red/Black Odeon are no first pressings but the first "true French pressings".
As a "topping", you're about to buy a MONO PRESSING, which is of a much higher collector's value than its stereo counterpart. No serious collector can "afford" to not having this dignified Old Lady on her or his shelf - THIS is YOUR chance, and it won't come along your way that "fast" again.

If available, audible checks were performed with an ORTOFON Pro-Ject Audio system connected to a DENON PMA 520-AE amplifier, using a Sennheiser 350 headset. Remarks As for the Cover and related issues, please refer to pictures provided right after. Spine has been taped.
The fully laminated cover is completely glossy, made of strong cardboard. Absolutely clean insertion slot, no cuts, nothing. GateFold inside looks excellent. No seam split. Signs of ring wear on front and back side, scuffed edges.
Cut-OUT is imported from the U.K., has "Printed in England" and clearly in a near mint condition.
Both labels are absolutely clean. No writings, stains, tears, or spots. Light spindle hole issue.
Vinyl is shiny, both sides. Many hairlines, record has been played frequently.
Regarding audio, plays perfectly thru, no jumps, or skips. Straight MONO sound, solid audio. However, there's some "high clicks" at the beginning/first track on both sides.
Please keep in mind that an opinion is bound to be subjective. Refer to pictures, provided extensively.

1st Class Packaging
We are Collectors, hence every record is stored (and will be sent) in a sophisticated way. Many experienced collectors were thrilled by our unique, bullet-proof "packing technicque". Original cover, inner sleeve(s), prospective inserts, and/or whatever may come across, are stored separately. The vinyl sits in a neutral antistatic, padded inner sleeve, which is housed in a stable, neutral cardboard cover. Package is protected by one (or more) transparent plastic sleeves. Finally, all items are being wrapped with thick bubble foil and go to a professional record mailer, which is then being properly sealed with water-resistant tape.
