Description
On auction here is the first stereo pressing of the classic Beatles album Sgt.Pepper,s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The stereo version is rarer and in my opinion has a much better mix and breadth of sound. It has the original psychedelic sleeve and insert. As usual a low start for bidding.
SLEEVE I would grade as EX+ at least EX.This sleeve is in good shape . There is a little spine wear on the sleeve but all of the writing is legible There are no names or writing on the sleeve just a trace of ringwear at the top.. There is hardly any wear on the bottom edge and hardly any wear on the sleeve edge. There are no tears or sellotape. The cut out is in mint condition dark green for 1967.The psychedelic red sleeve is original in VG condition just a slight tear at the top.
LABELS EX++ on both sides Spindles NM. earliest matrix see above stampers GG and RR so very early think maybe very very early.. No names no writing. KT Tax code sold in U.K. showing first pressing.
DISC NM/ NM or at least EX+EX+ This plays perfectly with virtually no static or background noise,Will be very hard to get a better one.Just have a look at the photographs..The record has been cleaned by a special machine called a loricraft audio PRC-3.No sticking or names or writing, almost a mirror finish, barely played in my opinion hard to upgrade. No warping or sticking.PLEASE SEE BELOW ABOUT SENDING ABROAD IMPORTANT.
I am offering free postage in the U.K but due to a big increase in postage will now in many cases have to send 2nd class signed for unless buyers want to pay first class signed or special delivery.. .At present I am reluctant to post overseas except R O I This is because postal services overseas are not reliable maybe due to pandemic.Due to current situation cannot send to Russia Ukraine or Belarus. If overseas bidders are interested, please message me for postage. If I do send overseas,it is at the buyers risk uninsured and it could take time to reach the destination..Also buyers may have to pay customs or import duty and VAT.Good luck to all bidders .As usual £5 low start for the auction of this valuable record. .Will accept Paypal but Ebay arrange payment. Will package securely with cardboard stiffener and record out of sleeve in a plastic cover or shrink wrap.
