Description
You are bidding on an ORIGINAL VIETNAM pressing of the album SUPER HITS by the BEATLES .Label: AH CHAU. Catalog Number: : SP-1048. Matrix numbers (handwritten in runout grooves): side A: FL-1652 A, side B: FL-1652 B. Date of release in Vietnam: 17 August 1970.
FIRST TIME ON EBAY !! After "Abbey Road" on similar vinyl and sleeve (sold for 499.99 $), I am proud to present this other LP from Vietnam, made at the height of the war, in 1970.
This is an extremely rare LP, made in Vietnam in extremely tiny numbers,on beautiful RED TRANSPARENT VINYL .
The LP is titled "The Beatles Super Hits" and uses a "Phase 4"design , maybe they mixed it up with Fab 4.
In my 16 years of collecting asian pressings,I have seen only one copy of this INCREDIBLE RARITY: this one.
The date is written in VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE : Ngay: 17-8-70 .You can see it on the label, just under the name "Beatles". It is important because that is the evidence of its Vietnamese origin.
There are four tracks by the Beatles: Hey Jude / Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da /Yellow Submarine/ Revolution
They have RENAMED the 3rd song on this LP "Yellow Submarine NOW"!!!! Only in Vietnam! Look at pictures of labels.
Side one is taken by the Beatles (except for the last song). Side B consists of tracks are by different artists: Simon and Garfunkel, Tommy Roe, Ventures,... LOOK AT LABELS FOR TRACK LISTING.
The sleeve is made of light paper (quality is a bit like newspaper),in plastic polylined sleeve. In is in GREAT CONDITION, with no major damage, apart from some ringwear and crease, but very little.Scotch tape on spine. Tiny plastic tear on back cover. Usually these sleeves are dirty and chipped beyond recognition. Not this one!
Has lyrics and names of artists on back cover.
Record is in VG (conservative grading). I must add that the vinyl is shiny and in a very pleasing condition.
Label side one is PAPER LAMINATED!!!Labels very visually enjoyable. The RED VINYL IS GORGEOUS and STUNNING. Look at PICTURES OF ACTUAL ITEM.
