Description
BEATLES Sweet Apple Tracks Vol. 1 NM LP
Single LP contains selections from the other two volumes. This is the hottest mastering of the three. Playback is louder and clearer than the other two volumes. The material found on this LP is repeated on the other two.
Cover---Still in the shrinkwrap. (Note to Newbies: “Still in the shrinkwrap” does not mean Still Sealed. It means that the album has been opened, but the owner did not remove the shrinkwrap.) There is a three-inch split in the shrinkwrap at the top spine, exposing the paper slick to shelfwear damage in that area. There is a one-inch tear in the shrinkwrap at the bottom front right, which has caused no damage to the paper slick in that area. Spine and bottom seam are Near Mint strong.
Labels---Issued with blank yellow labels. Both are completely clean. The Side 2 label is offset.
Vinyl---Both sides of the LP are Near Mint. With the exceptions of just a few very light lines that are restricted to the trail-off areas, both sides shine with a mirror finish. Both sides have the words, “REV 2000” in the dead wax with no other markings.
Highlights---In the “Let It Be” movie, there is a segment about 90 seconds long, of The Beatles doing an impromptu song called, “Suzy Parker.” This LP has the performance in its entirety, which displays one of the light-hearted moments of the sessions that everyone was led to believe was pure boredom. Not true!
The track, “No Pakistanis” was a pass at The Beatles practicing the song, “Get Back” before Paul had settled on the lyrics. Meant as a political statement regarding London’s attitudes of the influx of people from India, the lyrics could be considered slightly racist without the context of the times.
If you plan to bid, please read this first…
For the second time in two weeks, I’ve had a very high bid cancelled on my auctions. A third buyer who won her auction told me she was going to withhold payment for two days while she decided whether she wanted the LP. All of these LP’s were in the triple digits. Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay?
Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
