This is easily one of my favorite collectible Beatles albums. It is a mono The Beatles vs. The Four Seasons on VeeJay records. This piece just screams Beatlemania! The cover is quite nice and structurally sound! The VJ logo in the upper right of the front cover has been re-added - it may have originally been written on or had sticker damage, but it happened years before I got it. Aesthetically not bad. The corners are not perfect, but the cover colors are bright (no stains), none of the usual ringwear or ripped seams, and, best of all, the back has not been filled in! (don't you hate when you see one of these filled in...and especially when The Four Seasons win?!) The records are easily VG, but we all know how grading on eBay has been abused - that is why I will grade them VG. The VJ brackets labels are also nice, and the records are still shiny - no abuse here. In general, the records are descent - not NM, and not G-. Overall, I would say this is an "average" copy, with some bad points and some great points. But how many of these babies made it through 53 YEARS and are even this nice? - not many! And for under $400 and FREE SHIPPING, this is a true bargain, and better than a normal "starter" copy, for sure.
