Description
The Beatles - 'Revolver' LP. PMC 7009
The Beatles 1966 1st UK mono pressing of the 'Revolver' LP. Released on the 13th August 1966, this is the incredibly rare quickly withdrawn version with remix 11 (XEX 606-1 matrix) of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. Offered here in superb condition with a wonderful sleeve, very hard to come by.
These very early 1st pressings which have the matrix numbers of XEX 606-1 on side 2 are incredibly rare. They contain a remix of one of the Beatles most groundbreaking tracks 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. These mono only copies were hastily withdrawn after just a couple of hours on the first day of production and replaced with the XEX 606-2 mix. This first remix was never again used on any future issues making this 1st pressing now incredibly sought after.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label. Both vinyl labels feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side 1 label. This comes FULLY complete with the original and correct 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' inner sleeve which all UK 1st pressings came housed in. The outer sleeve produced by 'Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd.' is one of the finest examples of this sleeve I have ever seen.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. XEX 605-2 1 RG
Side 2. XEX 606-1 5 MA
The vinyl is in visually VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition. I have recently play tested this LP, it sounds marvelous. NO faults at all just light crackle as to be expected with an album of this age. An absolute must for 'Tomorrow Never Knows'.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Just some light spindle trials otherwise perfect.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. Many would probably grade this higher but for the very, very lightest of general wear. NO damage at all.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
UK recorded postage is: £4.00. EU recorded postage is: £8.55. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £15.55. Combined postage is available. Combined postage is available.
VINYL VISUALLY GRADED BASED ON UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADES WITH A + OR -.
