Description
BEATLES UK – A Collection of Beatles Oldies LP, E J Day sleeve, first UK stereo issue.
PCS 7016 – original 1966 stereo black and yellow Parlophone labels.
A first UK stereo issue in original condition, featuring:
1. a hard to find original UK Stereo ‘E J Day’ sleeve. With maybe the exception of ‘Please Please Me’, Beatle stereo ‘E J Day’ sleeves are very difficult to find,
2. the ‘flip backs’ on these first issue ‘E J Day’ sleeves are deeper and have less rounded ends to them,
3. the stereo logo on the front, top right corner on ‘E J Day’ sleeves appears within the coloured area of the sleeve and not within the white border as on regular ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’ sleeves.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. There are just a couple for small, light thumb creases to the laminate near to the front, middle open edge. The spine is near excellent condition, it has remained clean and white and all the text on the spine is clear to read. To the rear of the sleeve it features the original 1960s ‘tri-flip back’ design. The rear of the sleeve has remained very clean for its age. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period EMI black and white advertising sleeve. There are NO tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. There is a slight split to one of the side edges.
THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition. Side two is in near excellent condition. The record is made from the original period 1960s thick, heavy vinyl, it has remained very dark and glossy.
The matrix are: YEX 619 - 1G and YEX 620 - 1G,
The mother/stampers are: ‘3 G A’ and ‘3 M’.
THE AUDIO: is very good++, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full, loud period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, sticker residue or stickers.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
DISCOUNT WILL BE GIVEN ON POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES.
IN THE UK – RECORDS THAT SELL FOR OVER THE VALUE OF £45 WILL BE SENT ‘RECORDED DELIVERY’ AND THERE MAYBE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR INSURANCE AS THE SELLER HAS NO PROTECTION IF THE ITEM GOES MISSING IN THE POST, THEREFORE POST AND PACKING CHARGES MAY VARY.
