BEATLES UK – ‘A Hard Days Night’, NO ‘Sold in UK’ & a small Mono sleeve.

PMC 1230 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in 100% original condition featuring:

1. the sleeve features an unusual small Mono logo printed to the top front right, most Mono sleeves were printed with a ‘medium’ size Mono logo on the front of the sleeve.

2. the record labels feature the very last Mono labels dated from around the middle of 1969. The text ‘Sold in UK’ etc was removed from the labels, these labels were only available for a short time until the Mono format was no longer available.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. The rear of the sleeve has remained clean. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period EMI red and white advertising sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue.  There is a split to one of the sides.

THE VINYL: is in near MINT condition, looking at the playing surfaces under normal daylight conditions it is difficult to see any marks at all on the playing surfaces, a possible one or two plays !. The record is like new and has remained very dark and glossy. The vinyl is made from thick, heavy vinyl. Towards the outside edge of the record the record does not lie completely flat on the turntable, but it plays perfectly.

The matrix  nos. are:  XEX  481 – 3N  and  XEX  482 – 3N,

The Mother/Stampers are:  ‘2 9   M D T’  and   ‘8  A L R’.

THE AUDIO: plays near MINT.

THE LABELS: side one is in near MINT condition, a possible one play ?, side two is in excellent+ condition, a possible two or three plays !. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers and sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
