PCS 7088, original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’ Apple record label.

A first issue UK 1969 album in original condition, featuring:

1. original first issue UK 1969 sleeves of this album featured a ‘mis pressed’, ‘mis aligned’ apple logo on the rear of the sleeve as the apple logo was printed too far over to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were corrected to show the apple logo correctly aligned with the album tracks listing,

2. original first issue UK 1969 record matrix of, YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

3. original first issue UK 1969 ‘dark green’ Apple colour record label on side one,

4. the track, ‘Her Majesty’ is printed on the record label but this track title is not printed on the rear of the sleeve !,

5. comes with its original period, plain white EMI ‘Patent applied for’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition. The sleeve is laminated front and rear. The laminate has an excellent quality, deep glossy finish, there are just a few light ‘thumb’ creases to the front of the laminate. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent+ condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges have remained clean and sharp. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There are some marks to the laminate on the rear, but otherwise it is super clean and glossy.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition and is the original period EMI plain white 1969 UK, ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean and unworn. An excellent clean, white uncreased original inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made of the period, quality ‘heavy grade’ paper that has a ‘textured’ surface on the inside. There are NO tears, pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition. Side two is in near excellent condition. The record is made from the quality period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘4 OLA’ and ‘3 MHA’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent+, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on tracks two and three for a short while, otherwise side one plays excellent+ with nice quiet grooves. Side two plays excellent++, side two plays with nice quiet grooves, a near perfect audio. Each side plays with a full powerful period, stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each record label is in excellent+ condition. Each record label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
