Description
BEATLES UK - BEATLES FOR SALE – Mispress, 1 EMI Box label.
PCS 3062 - 1969 STEREO, BLACK AND SILVER 1 EMI BOX PARLOPHONE LABEL.
A UK copy in 100% original condition, featuring 1 Box EMI record labels with Two unusual features:
1. on side two of the record label for the publishing credit for the song ‘Kansas City’ the word ‘World’ has been mis-spelt as ‘ Wor l l d ’ ! ie mis-spelt with a double ‘ l ’ !
2. on each of the record labels there is a ‘ period ’ mark or ‘ dot ’ that appears between the catalogue references, ie it reads ‘ PCS . 3062 ’. This dot is unusual as it does not appear on regular copies !.
CONDITION:
MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. The two visible flipbacks can be seen inside the gatefold sleeve when opened. There are NO pen marks or staining.
INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original red and white EMI advertising sleeve, it is very white and clean for its age, with NO stains or pen on.
VINYL: is in very good+ condition, the vinyl is very dark, clean and shiny. The vinyl is made of the old period ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl.
The matrix nos. are YEX 142 – 1 and YEX 143 - 1,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘ 4 P P ’ and ‘1 6 8 P G’.
The record has a sharp outer edge.
THE AUDIO: is very good, I did hear a light tick on the track ‘Mr Moonlight’ and to the end of ‘Every Little Thing’ and to the first half of ‘ I dont want to spoilt the party ’. The record plays with NO skips or jumps and lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: are in excellent condition and show very little play, side one has a discrete name written in pen. As mentioned on the publishing credit for the song ‘Kansas City’ at the end of side Two, the word ‘World’ has been mis-spelt as ‘ Wor l l d ’ ! ie mis-spelt with a double ‘ l ’ !. Also either side of the record labels there is a ‘period’ mark or ‘dot’ that appears between the catalogue number, ie it reads ‘PCS . 3062’. This dot is unusual as it does not appear on regular copies !.
