e © AP6.0 The Beatles 7th UK EP "EXTRACTS FROM THE ALBUM A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" STRICTLY GRADED as EXCELLENT.
This is one of the MOST RARE and difficult to find Beatles EP's as it hardly sold any copies at all. The reason is that most fans already possessed the album with the same tracks on it and felt no desire to buy duplicates !
Beware of later re-issue imitations ! This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING !
This is the ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING UK EP released in 1964 in MONO on the YELLOW AND BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL GEP 8924 with :-
1. "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD" rim text credit.
2. "Recording First Published 1964" label credit.
3. WITH the "SOLD IN THE UK" label credit.
4. Pushout Centre.
5. Laminated Flipback Sleeve
MATRIX NUMBERS :- Side 1 - 7TCE 850-1N
Side 2 - 7TCE 851-1N
MOTHER STAMPER CODES :- Side 1 - KT 1 and R
Side 2 - KT 1 and R
TAX CODE :- KT Embossed on centre of Side 2
The labels are in EXCELLENT condition with NO damage to the text, NO unwanted writing, NO unsightly stickers, minimal spindle hole wear and only a few spindle marks.
The 4 tracks are :-
1. ANY TIME AT ALL
2. I'LL CRY INSTEAD
3. THINGS WE SAID TODAY
4. WHEN I GET HOME
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition with a few light surface marks. It plays loud and superbly on my THORENS/SME/ORTOFON setup with that fullness of sound and closeness to the action that can only be reproduced from quality vinyl.
The laminated flipback sleeve would grade as EXCELLENT but for the writing of a name in pen on the rear - see picture - so it has to be graded as in VERY GOOD PLUS condition with a shiny front still showing the original gloss. The rear sleeve is clean with a slight ringmark. The corners are still sharp and in fine condition. There are NO seams splits and NO tears.The rounded corner flipback edges are intact and still firmly glued down. All in all a fine sleeve.
Most of these early EP's were trashed over the years at parties and few have survived in great conditionThis is a great opportunity to acquire this 41 year old (!) EP for your Beatles or EP collection and no matter what price it sells for it will retain and keep increasing its value. Many thanks for looking.
