BEATLES UK – Magical Mystery Tour original UK first press Mono EP and Abbey Road LP.

Magical Mystery Tour EP, a very first UK Mono press on the black and silver Parlophone labels.

A UK original Mono first press two record set in 100% original condition from 1967, featuring:

1. complete with its original storey book and blue inner lyric pages,

2. the text ‘Sold in UK’ etc appears on the record labels, proving this to be a very first UK Mono press,

3. the records come with their original white ‘wavy top’  inner sleeves.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in near MINT condition, it comes with its original gatefold sleeve that opens out into a story book with BLUE lyric pages, all the pages are firmly attached. The sleeve is laminated front and rear and is like new, it has retained its excellent sharp corners. The spine is in perfect condition. The pages are crisp and fresh. There are NO signs of any ageing, foxing etc. The colours on the sleeve/pages are full and fresh and have not faded in anyway. The original exposed flipbacks can be seen when the booklet is opened. There are NO creases, thumb marks, splits, tears, pen writing, age marks, stains, stickers or sticker residue.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are in  excellent+ condition  and are the original plain white ‘WAVY’ top inners. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE VINYLS: side one, two and four are in very good condition, side three is in excellent condition. The records are dark and have a high gloss.

The Matrix no’s are:   7XCE 18435-1,    7XCE 18434-1,   7XCE 18436-1 ,   7XCE 18437-2,

Each of the records have ‘knock out’ centres.

THE AUDIO:  the audio on side one and two is very good, they play with some crackle. Side three, the audio is excellent, side four in general is excellent, but I did hear some light ‘ticks’ for the first minute of play.

THE LABELS: sides one, two and four are in very good condition, side three is in excellent condition. All four labels feature the text ‘The Gramophone’ etc around the rim of the labels, the text ‘Sold in the UK’ etc is on all the labels and there are the letters ‘ K T ’ embossed onto sides two and three of the labels.

Abbey Road - 1969 PCS 7088 – original dark green apple record label.

An early UK press album, featuring:

1. on side two of the record label the track ‘Her Majesty’ is printed on the record label and the track plays on the record, but this track is not printed on the rear of the sleeve !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. All the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some rubbing wear to the middle of the spine.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is plain white.

THE VINYL: is in near very good condition, the vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. The Matrix is 2 / 1.

THE AUDIO: is good++, it plays with some crackle and some ‘ticks’ here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in good condition, as this is a very early pressing side one shows a DARK green apple. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
