PCS 3042 – RARE STEREO CROSSOVER LABELS FEATURING THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS.

A UK LP in 100% original condition, a rare crossover copy that features:

1.  a medium size Stereo logo on the front of the  sleeve circa 1964/65,

2. while the record labels still maintains the text ‘recorded first published’ and the label rim text  is  ‘ The Parlophone’ etc these labels still maintain  a larger Stereo logo (soon to be replaced with a smaller Stereo logo) and the text  ‘ Sold in UK ’  etc now appears on the labels.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in near excellent condition, the front laminated sleeve has a rare medium size Stereo logo on the front.   A nice touch to this copy is the original price sticker of 32/-  on the front of the sleeve.   The  tri-flipback sleeve is made by ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’.  The spine is in excellent condition and has remained white in colour and all the text is readable. The rear of the sleeve has remained  very clean for its age. Theres   NO pen writing, stickers  (apart from the above), sticker residue, splits or stains on the sleeve.   There is a small 5mm ‘nick’  to the rear  only side opening edge.

THE INNER SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition and is the original  ‘ Use Emitex ’  period  sleeve.   There are NO  splits, pen writing, stickers, sticker residue, tears or stains on it.

THE VINYL:   side one is in near excellent  condition,   side two is in excellent condition, it is made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl.  The vinyl is very clean, dark and glossy.

The matrix  nos. are:   YEX  94 – 1   and  YEX  95 – 1,

The Mother/Stampers are:  ‘1     R R ’   and   ‘ 1    G  L ’.

THE AUDIO:  is excellent, although I did hear  on side one   a ‘tick’  on the track ‘Ask me why’  just a short time into the track that lasted for about 30 secs.  And on side two  a  ‘tick’   on the track   ‘ Baby its you’  just  a short time into the track  that lasted for about  one  minute.   Otherwise   it  plays very well all the way through  giving a very clean powerful period Stereo sound. The vinyl  lays flat  on the turntable and  plays with NO sticking or jumps.

THE LABELS:   side one is in  near excellent condition,  side two is in very good++  condition.  There are the letters ‘ MT ’ embossed around the  spindle hole on side one.  There are NO stickers, sticker residue, or pen writing.
