BEATLES UK – Please Please Me LP, with a GOLD sleeve, fourth press.

PMC 1202 – black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in 100% original condition, featuring:

The record / labels is a fourth pressing but the sleeve is a very first press, that the black and gold label records came with, as the photographers credit, seen on the front bottom right is printed in line with the last letter ‘s’ on the word ‘songs’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front is laminated. It is made from quite noticeably thicker card. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design, the flipbacks are all very good and solid and well stuck down. There are NO splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is light age related marks to the rear. To the top left front and to the top left rear, there was once a name written in pen, this has almost faded away. There is the original shop stamp on the top rear of the sleeve, see photo.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in good condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. A good clean, white sleeve for its age. Theres NO pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue. There is some fraying to the top two opening edges and a 10mm tear to each of the ‘die cut holes’ and an edge split to one side.

THE VINYL: is in very good condition. The vinyl has remained very dark and glossy and is made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are:  XEX  421 – 1N  and  XEX  422 – 1N,

The Mother / Stampers are:  ‘1  2   R P’ and ‘1    R  H’.

THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays with some light crackle and the odd light ‘tick’ here and there. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition, the letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
