Description
BEATLES UK – Revolver LP, original Mono.
1966 PMC 7009 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.
An early UK Mono copy of this album in original condition, featuring:
1. a more unusual Mono sleeve made by the printing company, ‘E J Day’. The rear panel of the sleeve has a much lighter photo detail to it,
2. the record labels on each side have a ‘rougher’ surface around the spindle hole, the rest of the labels surface is smooth,
3. the label on side two has the spelling of ‘Dr Robert’, this is usually spelt as ‘Doctor’ Robert !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The sleeve is made by E J Day. The two opening edges of the sleeve are very clean. The rear features the original tri-flipback design. The spine is in very good++ condition and all the text is readable on the spine. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original EMI period ‘Patents applied for’ white sleeve. A very clean and well preserved sleeve for its age. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. Each of the side edges have a slight spilt.
THE VINYL: is in near excellent condition, it is made of the period thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl has remained very dark and glossy and does not look as if it has been played very much at all.
The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 3,
The mother / stampers are: ‘ 6 O O ’ and ‘1 H O’,
THE AUDIO: is excellent, a super loud and clear, mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition. Side two has the spelling of ‘Dr’ Robert. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
