Description

BEATLES UK – Revolver & Sgt Pepper, original Mono LPs.

Revolver PMC 7009 – original black and yellow Mono Parlophone labels.

1. on side two of the record label there is the spelling of ‘Doctor Robert’ but on the rear of the sleeve this track title is spelt ‘Dr Robert’ !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The rear features the original tri-flipback design. The spine is in very good++ condition and all the text is clear to read. To the front right lower opening edge (front side only) there is a 20mm tear. There are NO splits, pen writing or any other tears on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is a non original plain white sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in near excellent condition, it is made of the period thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:  XEX 605 - 2  and  XEX 606 – 2,

THE AUDIO: side one plays near excellent with some light ‘dusty / static’ crackle. Side two also plays near excellent, I did hear some crackle and some ‘pops’ on the intro. to track one for a short while, but this soon settled down and the rest of the audio plays well with just the usual light ‘dusty/static’ crackle. I think if the record was given a professional clean the overall audio could be excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent condition. Side two is in very good++ condition. Side two has the spelling of ‘Doctor’ Robert. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Sgt Pepper PMC 7027 – original black and yellow Mono Parlophone labels.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated, the laminate has remained very glossy. The spine is in near excellent condition, the word ‘***rts’ (Hearts) is partially obscured, the spine has remained an excellent fresh white in colour and is firm and strong, the rest of the text on the spine is readable. When the gatefold sleeve is opened the original exposed top two flipbacks can be seen. To the front right lower opening edge (front side only) there is a 10mm tear. There are NO splits, stains, pen writing or any other stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE CARD INSERT: is NOT present.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is a non original plain white sleeve.

THE VINYL: side one is in  excellent condition, side two is in good++ condition. It is made from the period ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are:   XEX 637 - 1  and  XEX 638 - 1,

THE AUDIO: side one plays very good, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on the intro. to track six, otherwise it plays very good with the usual light ‘dusty/static’ crackle. Side two plays good++, it plays with the usual light dusty/static crackle and with ‘ticks’ and ‘pops’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in near excellent condition, the letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
