BEATLES UK, Revolver, rare MT code record label, original 1966 UK mono LP.

PMC 7009, original 1966 UK black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. a very unusual ‘MT’ tax code embossed on side two of the record label, this is technically incorrect as the ‘MT’ tax code was discontinued in July 1963, so for this code to appear on a record manufactured in mid 1966 is very strange,

2. amended ‘3’ record matrix on side two of the record,

3. the card sleeve is more usual as it is made by the company of, ‘E J Day’,

4. comes with its original, ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The sleeve is made by the company of, ‘E J Day’. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained clean and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained very clean. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s, ‘tri ‘flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There are some ‘indentations’ on the front, lower part of the sleeve, only really seen when the sleeve is tilted to the light. On the rear there is what appears to be a slight ‘water’ mark on Georges head.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve. A very clean, original and well preserved inner sleeve for its age. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good+ condition and side two is in very good++ condition. The record is made of the period 1960s, ‘thick heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 3,

The mother / stampers are: ‘8 GAD’ and ‘2 GDP’,

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays very good++, each side plays with some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. The letters ‘MT’, very unusual, are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. Each record label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
