BEATLES UK - Rubber Soul – Original Stereo transition.
PCS 3075 STEREO.
Original 1965 Yellow & Black Parlophone Label.
A UK first press Stereo album in 100% original condition. Most of the record buying public back in late 1965 were buying Mono records, so to buy a Stereo record, it would have had to have been specially ordered.
This copy represents a rare transition copy as it has the combination of ‘ Roman’ font labels, but the record has a 3 / 3 matrix !. Nearly ALL the 3 / 3 matrix Stereo Rubber Souls I have seen have the ‘ Sans Serif ’ font on the labels !.
Side one of the record is very unusual as it does not have a ‘Mother stamp’ engraved at the 9 o’clock position !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is very good condition and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has tri flipbacks, the rear is very white and clean for its age. There is NO pen writing, stains, stickers, or sticker residue. There is a small ‘nick’ 10mm on the front only opening edge.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘ Use Emitex ’ lined sleeve, it is very clean and white for its age. There is NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers, or sticker residue or side edge splits.
THE VINYL: side one is in near excellent condition, side Two is in excellent condition. The vinyl is made from the original period thick, heavy vinyl. It is very dark and glossy.
The matrix nos. are: YEX 178 - 3 and YEX 179 – 3,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘ NO NUMBER ! ’ ‘ O ’ and ‘ 2 A ’.
THE AUDIO: is near excellent, an excellent playing copy, the record lays flat on the turntable and plays with NO skips or jumps.
THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition and side two is in excellent condition, the letters ‘ KT ’ are embossed onto side two.
