Description

BEATLES UK – Rubber Soul & Revolver, early UK Mono LPs.

Rubber Soul PMC 1267 – original black and yellow Mono Parlophone labels, featuring:

1. now considered to be the best mono George Martin mix, this final 5/5 mono mix,

2. an early set of mother / stampers on side one of, ‘1 G P’,  

3. unusually there are NO letters embossed around the spindle holes of the record labels,

4. side one on the record label has an additional ‘dot’ within the line of text ‘Sold in UK’ etc as it reads ‘Sold in .U.K.’ etc !,

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the sleeve has a laminated front. The spine is in very good condition and all the text on the spine is readable. The sleeve at the rear has a tri flipback design. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emi-text’ sleeve. There is a top side split to one of the side edges  and some ‘scuffing’ to one side of the opening edge. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in very good++ condition, it is made from the period ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are:   XEX 579 - 5  and  XEX 580 - 5,

The mother stampers are: very early ‘1  G P’  and side two, ‘2  A G’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays near excellent, I did hear some light ‘ticks' on track five, otherwise it plays excellent. Side two plays near excellent, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ to the end of track four and into the intro. to track five, otherwise it plays excellent, with a full clear period Mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in very good++ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

 

Revolver PMC 7009 – original black and yellow Mono Parlophone labels, featuring:

1. on side two of the record label there is the spelling of ‘Doctor Robert’ but on the rear of the sleeve this track title is spelt ‘Dr Robert’ !,

2. side one on the record label has an additional ‘dot’ within the line of text ‘Sold in UK’ etc, as it reads ‘Sold in .U.K.’ etc !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The rear features the original tri-flipback design. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text is clear to read. There are NO splits, tears or pen writing on the sleeve. There is some creasing to the laminate on the front.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original ‘Use Emi-text’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. The two sides have some edge splits  and there is a neat cellotape repair to the bottom edge and some ‘scuffing’ to one side of the opening edge. 

THE VINYL: side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in excellent condition, it is made of the period thick, heavy vinyl. The vinyl has remained very dark and glossy and ‘looks’ as if it has not been played much at all.

The matrix are:  XEX 605 - 2  and  XEX 606 – 3,

THE AUDIO: is excellent, it plays with some of the usual light ‘dusty / static’ crackle. An excellent playing copy, it plays with a full clear period Mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition. Side two is in near excellent condition. Side two has the spelling of ‘Doctor’ Robert. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.

DISCOUNT WILL BE GIVEN ON POSTAGE FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES.

IN THE UK – RECORDS THAT SELL FOR OVER THE VALUE OF £45 WILL BE SENT ‘RECORDED DELIVERY’ AND THERE MAYBE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR INSURANCE AS THE SELLER HAS NO PROTECTION IF THE ITEM GOES MISSING IN THE POST,THEREFORE POST AND PACKING CHARGES MAY VARY.
