Description

BEATLES UK - Sgt Pepper original Mono LP.

PMC 7027 – original Mono black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK pressing in original condition, featuring:

1. the front sleeve photo appears to have a much lighter blue sky colour !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in excellent++ condition, in fact one of the best condition spines I have seen, the spine has remained an excellent fresh white in colour, all the text is crystal clear to read on the spine, there are some slight signs of ‘flaky’ laminate. When the gatefold sleeve is opened the original exposed top two flipbacks can be seen. There are NO stains, tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE CARD INSERT: is in very good condition and is the original DARK green cardboard cut-out. There are NO tears, creases, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. To one of the bottom corners there are signs of a slight ‘water mark’ !.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and could be the original, circa 1968 EMI white inner sleeve with the text ‘Patents applied for’ on. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on it. On one side of the opening edge there is some ‘fraying’.

THE VINYL: is in near very good condition, it is made from the period ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are:   XEX 637 - 1  and  XEX 638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are:   ‘4  A T R ’ and  ‘2  A T A’.

THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays well with not much crackle, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ to be heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent condition, the letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
