PMC 7027 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK record in original condition.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. the laminate has remained nice and glossy. The spine is in very good++ condition, it is strong and has some scuffing but most of the text is till clear to read on the spine. When the gatefold sleeve is opened the original exposed top two flipbacks can be seen. There are NO stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue. There is a discrete name written in black pen on the top right flipback seen when the sleeve is opened. There are some marks to the laminate but over all a well preserved sleeve.

THE CARD INSERT: is in near excellent condition and is the original DARK green cardboard cut-out insert. Theres are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue. There is some light creasing to the left side of the insert.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original wavy pattern red and white sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue. There is a split to one side edge.

THE VINYL: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. It is made from the period ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained very dark and glossy

The matrix are:   XEX 637 - 1  and  XEX 638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are:   ‘ 4  R O T ’ and ‘ 0  R D M ’.

THE AUDIO: is near excellent, on track five, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ to the last half, otherwise the audio is excellent with nice quiet grooves. Side two plays near excellent, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on the intro. to track one for about one minute approx. otherwise the audio is excellent, even the long fade out to ‘A day in the life’ is relatively crackle free. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in very good condition, it would have been graded higher but there is some ‘whitening’ to the label, it looks like a ‘ring’ mark from a cup !. Side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
