BEATLES UK – WHITE ALBUM, ORIGINAL NUMBERED STEREO.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 -  APPLE RECORD LABELS.

A UK first edition top loading Stereo pressing with a unique serial number of  ‘ no. 0300994 ’, featuring:

1. on side two,  the record label features  the letters ‘ KT ’   embossed onto it.

2. unusually on side one the record matrix shows a no. 2, rather than the usual no. 1.

3. sides two and four, the white apple sides of the record labels are unusual as they show a more pronounced ‘ brown apple core’ detail !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in near excellent condition, the double album gatefold sleeve is fully laminated.  On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of No. 0300994, this number appears clear and bold.  To the rear there is a small ‘Stereo’ text printed proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained a good clean white in colour, all the text is clear to read, the spine does have some of the usual ‘flaky’ laminate. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down.  When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy.  There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.  

THE INNER SLEEVES:  are in excellent condition and are the two original APPLE black inners and have NOT been replaced. Each of the sleeves has one small 10mm tear around the die cut hole.  There are NO splits, sellotape, stickers or sticker residue.  

THE POSTER: the original poster is in  excellent+ condition. There is NO wear at all to the poster,  no wear to the folds etc. Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue,  pin holes, blue tack residue,  tears,  splits, stickers or sticker residue.  There are some light age marks, but this is light and doesn’t notice that much.

THE PHOTOS:  the original four photos are in near excellent condition.  The photos are made from the original thick card. The rear of the photos  have remained fresh and white.   Theres NO pen writing, fading, sellotape residue / blue tack residue, pin hole damage,  tears,  stickers or sticker residue.

THE VINYL:  record one, side one is in near MINT condition, side two is in excellent condition,  record two, side three is in excellent+ condition  and side four is in very good++ condition with a couple of light isolated marks that stops this side from being graded higher.  The two records are made of the original ‘ thick and heavy ’ vinyl and are  very clean, dark and glossy.  

The matrix nos. are:   YEX   709 –  2 unusually,  YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 - 1 and  YEX 712 - 1. 

The Mother/Stampers are:   ‘ 2    G R G  ’,    ‘ 6    G O R  ’,   ‘ 3 G O L  ’ and    ‘  4     G A O  ’.  

THE AUDIO:  is excellent, one of  the best playing copies I have heard, with little to spoil the listening pleasure.  Each record lays flat on the turntable and plays  well with  NO sticking or jumps from  the needle.

THE LABELS: label one is in excellent+  condition, looks like a one play ?, label two, three and four are in excellent condition. The white sides of the labels, sides two and four are unusual as they have  a more pronounced ‘ brown apple core’ detail !.  As mentioned above, label  two has  the letters  ‘ K T ’  embossed onto it. As this is a first press the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours.  All the labels show  the text  ‘Sold in the UK’ etc,  the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’.  All four labels have the text  ‘An EMI Recording’. Theres  NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the labels.

Packing - all records are sent out with multi layered card stiffeners.    All records will be removed from their  original inner and outer sleeves  to avoid any damage, the record will then be put into a second inner sleeve for maximum protection while in transit.

Discounts will be given on postage for multiple purchases.

In the UK  –  records  that sell for over the value of £41 will  be sent  ‘recorded delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post etc, therefore the post and packing charges may vary.
