BEATLES UK – WHITE ALBUM, ORIGINAL NUMBERED STEREO LP – ‘ 1  G ’ mother /stamper.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 -  APPLE RECORD LABELS.

A UK first pressing top loading Stereo copy with a unique serial number of  ‘ No. 0463778 ’ and featuring:

1. the mother / stampers on side one are the earliest you can have, they are:   ‘ 1    G  ’  a very first pressing,  the mother / stampers on side four are also very early, they are :  ‘  1    G M ’, 

2.  unusually there are the letters ‘ K T ’ embossed around the spindle hole on label two, 

3. oddly labels one and two  have the text  ‘An EMI Recording’,  but this text is NOT present on labels three and four !. 

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition, the double album gatefold sleeve has a nice  glossy laminate.  On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of No. 0463778, this number appears clear and bold. To the rear there is a small ‘Stereo’ text printed proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is clean and in very good condition and all the text can be read, the spine does have some of the usual ‘flaky’ laminate. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down.  When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy.  The rear of the  sleeve is also very clean and glossy. There are NO splits, tears, stains,  stickers or sticker residue.  When the sleeve is opened, to the top right left of the sleeve, see photo, there is a hand written note written in blue pen.

THE INNER SLEEVES: the original black inner sleeves are NOT present, the records come with white replacement sleeves.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in poor condition.  Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue.  The poster has age marks and the three horizontal folds have worn so the poster is now in three separate parts.   

THE PHOTOS:  the original four photos are in good condition. The photos are made from the original thick card.  Theres NO pen writing, pin hole damage, tears. Theres a lot of glue residue on the back of the photos, the photos have some creasing and some age marks.

THE VINYL:  are in good++ condition and have been played a fair bit.  The records are made of the original ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix nos. are:   YEX   709 – 1,  YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 - 1 and  YEX 712 - 1. 

The Mother/Stampers are:   ‘ 1    G   ’  very first pressing,    ‘  5 T  A  ’,   ‘ 3 M M  ’  and   ‘ 1    G M ’ also very early .  

THE AUDIO:  is very good, the records play well with some crackle and light ‘ticks’ can be heard,  but its still a good playing copy.  Each record lays flat on the turntable and plays well with  NO sticking or jumps from  the needle.

THE LABELS:  side one is in excellent+ condition, labels two, three and four are in very good+ condition.  As mentioned usually there are the letters ‘  K T ’ embossed around the spindle hole on label two.  As this is a first press two of the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours.  All the labels show  the text  ‘Sold in the UK’ etc,  the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’.  Oddly labels one and two  have the text ‘An EMI Recording’,  but this text is NOT present on label three and four !.  Theres NO pen writing or  sticker residue on the labels.  There are two  small stickers on labels two and three, see photo.

Packing - all records are sent out with multi layered card stiffeners.    All records will be removed from their  original inner and outer sleeves  to avoid any damage, the record will then be put into a second inner sleeve for maximum protection while in transit.

Discounts will be given on postage for multiple purchases.

In the UK  –  records  that sell for over the value of £41 will  be sent  ‘recorded delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post etc, therefore the post and packing charges may vary.
