BEATLES UK - WITH THE BEATLES, STEREO MISPRESS.

1963 PCS 3045 - Original Yellow and Black Parlophone Label.

A very first press UK Stereo album in 100% original condition.

This record has a number of interesting features:

1.  there is NO  Stereo logo printed  on the front of the sleeve !. The Stereo text was always printed UNDER the laminate but during manufacture this sleeve didn’t get its Stereo logo for some strange reason !.     Even more curious is that  this sleeve went on to get through EMIs  quality control department where the NO Stereo logo was not spotted and therefore the sleeve got out into the shops !. 

2. the sleeve also features   a very  ‘ dark and grainy’  photo, now thought to be a  misprint as  the later  sleeves  used a  much lighter photo.

3.  the record label on side two has the  error of ‘Jobete’ for the publishing credit to the song  ‘Money’.

4. on side two  of the record  there is NO ‘ Mother ’ stamper, ie at 9 o’clock !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in good++ condition,  the  front of the sleeve is laminated.   The rear of the sleeve features  a  tri flipback design.      The spine is in very good  condition and all the text is readable. The sleeve features the spelling of  the song title   ‘You really Gotta a hold on me’. There is NO pen writing,  stickers or sticker residue.    The sleeve has some fraying on one side of the opening edge where there is a 25mm tear. There are two edge splits, one on the top and one on the bottom of the sleeve, 80mm.  On  the rear, the top  at the right flipback has  half of the   30mm length missing.   The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has some aging.   

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+  condition and is the original poly lined ‘ Use Emitex ’  sleeve,   it is  very clean  for its age, with   NO splits, pen writing, tears,  stickers or sticker residue.

THE VINYL:   side one is in excellent+  condition,  side two is in excellent condition.     The vinyl  is made  from the period   thick, heavy vinyl,  it  is very clean, dark and  glossy.

The Matrix nos. are:        YEX  110 –  2    and   YEX 111 – 2, 

The Mother / Stampers are:   ‘ 2       H ’     and   oddly there is NO Mother stamp    ‘   ?       G  D ’.

THE AUDIO:    is very good,  it plays with some crackle,  I feel that  with a professional clean the audio would greatly improve as the condition of the playing surfaces are so good.  It lays flat on the turntable and plays without the needle jumping or skipping.

THE LABELS:  are in excellent+  condition,    the song on side two, track three is spelt  ‘ You really gotta a hold on me ’, this was  later corrected to read     ‘ got  a’ !.    The publishing credit for the song  ‘Money’ is shown  as the incorrect  ‘Jobete’.  There  are the letters  ‘KT’  embossed onto side  two.

Packing - all records are sent out with multi layered card stiffeners.    All records will be removed from their  original inner and outer sleeves  to avoid any damage, the record will then be put into a second inner sleeve for maximum protection while in transit.

In the UK  –  records  that sell for over the value of £41 will  be sent  ‘recorded delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post etc, therefore the post and packing charges may vary.
