BEATLES UK – White Album, original first issue UK numbered Stereo album.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 - Apple record labels.

A UK very first stereo issue, top loading sleeve, with an individual serial number of ‘ No. 0590416’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition. The sleeve is fully laminated. This laminate has remained very clean and glossy. For its age the sleeve has remained a good clean, fresh white in colour. On the front it has an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL number of No. 0590416, this number appears clear and bold. To the rear there is a small printed ‘Stereo’ logo, proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is in near excellent condition, with just some of the normal ‘flaky’ laminate, the spine has remained an excellent clean white in colour and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The four opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp for their age. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down. When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy. The rear of the sleeve is also very clean and glossy. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the two original ‘Apple’ black inner sleeves and have not been replaced. One sleeve is in near excellent condition, with two clean opening edges for its age. There are NO tears, splits or pen writing. The other sleeve is in very good++ condition, the front opening edge has remained clean for its age, the rear opening edge has three small ‘nicks’.There is a split to one side edge and to the bottom edge. There are NO tears or pen writing.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in near MINT condition. Unusually it is made of a thicker, heavier grade of paper. The poster has remained relatively crease free and has remained an excellent clean white in colour. Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue. There are some light age related marks, here and there. 

THE PHOTOS: the original four photos are in excellent+ condition. Theres NO pen writing, pin hole damage, sellotape / residue, blue tack residue, tears, stickers or sticker residue. Each of the photos have a slight cease to the top, left corner. To the rear for the photo of George there are some slight age related marks.

THE RECORDS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent++ condition. Side three is in near excellent condition and side four is in excellent++ condition. The records are made of the original 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl.

The matrix are: YEX 709 – 1, YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 - 1 and YEX 712 - 1.

The mother/stampers are: ‘ 4  L O’, ‘ 4  M G ’, ‘ 3  L H ’ and ‘ 1 H M ’.

THE AUDIO: side one and two plays excellent, with relatively quiet grooves, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ here and there. Side three and four plays near excellent, with some light ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. Each record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: sides one, two and three are in near MINT condition, side four is in excellent++ condition. As this is a very first issue, two of the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours. Each label features the text ‘Sold in UK’ etc and the text, ‘An EMI recording’. Each label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION. BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
