Description
BEATLES UK – With the Beatles, ‘Dominiom’ mis press stereo label.
1963 PCS 3045 - original 1960s yellow and black stereo Parlophone labels.
A later 1960s UK stereo copy in original condition, featuring:
1. a mis pressed label on side two, as the publishing credit for the track ‘Money’ has been mis pressed as ‘Dominiom. (dot) !’
2. hard to find stereo variation labels, as the text ‘Sold in UK’ etc is not present on the labels. These labels were the last of the yellow and black stereo Parlophone before the labels were changed to the black and silver ‘one EMI box’ Parlophone labels,
3. a more unusual small size ‘stereo’ logo printed on the front of the sleeve,
4. the record label on side one has the letters ‘K T’ embossed onto it, this is unusual as the ‘KT’ reference was no longer used after January 1969, but this copy would have been pressed in mid 1969 !,
5. the rear of the sleeve has the spelling, ‘You really ‘gotta’ hold on me’, but on the record label it is spelt ‘got a’ !, this is more unusual as by the time these later flipback sleeves were printed most had been corrected to the corrected, ‘got a’ spelling !.
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is excellent condition and it has remained clean and white in colour and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges and the four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The rear of the sleeve features the period 1960s, tri flipback design. The rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent clean fresh white. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. A very clean and solid original sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition and is the original period EMI red and white advertising sleeve. An excellent and well preserved inner sleeve that has remained an excellent clean fresh white in colour and relatively uncreased. The two opening edges are in excellent condition and have remained clean and unworn. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.THE RECORD: side one is in excellent+ condition. Side two is in excellent++ condition, it looks like new, as if it has been hardly played. The record is made from the original period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.
The matrix are: YEX 110 – 2 and YEX 111 – 2,
The mother / stampers are: ‘ 4 M O ’ and ‘ 2 M H ’.
THE AUDIO: side one is excellent, it plays with relatively quiet grooves, although I did hear some light ‘ticks’ here and there. Side two plays excellent++ with excellent ‘quiet’ grooves, a near perfect audio. The record lays flat on the turntable. It plays with a full clear, powerful, period stereo sound.
THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition and look like a possible one or two plays only !. Side two is in excellent++ condition and again looks like a possible one or two plays only !. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
