PMC 1206 – original UK 1963 yellow and black Parlophone labels.

A first issue UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. first UK issue mono 1/1 matrix record,

2. the record label on side one has an unusual, ‘ZTK’ tax code, see photo.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The sleeve features the original 1960s period ‘tri flip’ back design. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original period EMI ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean. A clean white sleeve for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some creasing here and there.

THE RECORD: is in very good++ condition. The record is made from the period 1960s ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 1N and XEX 448 – 1N,

The mother / stampers are: ‘7 RDT’ and ‘10 GTR’.

THE AUDIO: is excellent+, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there, but in general it plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record plays with an excellent full, clear loud period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in very good++ condition. An unusual set of letters of, ‘ZTK’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. Side two, track seven, the track, ‘Money’ has the publishing credits of, ‘Dominion, Belinda’ etc. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PMC 7027 – original UK 1967 mono black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A first issue UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. the ‘mothers’ on side two, look as if they have been mis pressed as they appear as multiples of the number eight stamped over each other, see photo, 

2. on record label one, there is an additional ‘dot’ that appears within the printed text of, ‘Sold in U.K.’ etc, as it reads, ‘Sold in .U.K.’ etc. The record label on side two does not have this additional ‘dot’ printed !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in near very good condition, it is strong and complete, it has some ‘scuffing’ to the laminate so not all of the text on the spine is readable. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened the original two exposed top and bottom ‘flip backs’ can be seen. There are NO stains, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a discrete name written inside the ‘gate fold’, written in blue pen. There are three ‘drawing pin’ holes to the top right and some ‘scuffing’ wear to the rear bottom, left corner.

THE CARD INSERT: the card cut-out insert is not present.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is plain white with the text, ‘Patent no. 125,5555’. There are NO splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a small, 5mm tear to the front bottom, right corner and some slight age related marks here and there.

THE RECORD: is in very good++ condition, it is made from the period 1960s ‘thick’, heavy vinyl, it has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 637 - 1 and XEX 638 – 1,

The mother/stamper are: ‘37 MRH’ and *‘? ALM’, *the ‘mothers’ on side two, look as if they have been mis pressed as they appear as multiples of the number eight stamped over each other, see photo,

THE AUDIO: is excellent, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there, but in general it plays with excellent quiet grooves. On side two, even the long exit to the track, ‘A day in the life’, plays with relatively quiet grooves. The record plays with an excellent full, clear loud period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in good++ condition as there is some slight ‘whitening’ around the spindle hole. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
