BEATLES UK – With the Beatles, Stereo, first UK issue, rare stickered sleeve.

1963 PCS 3045 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A very first UK issue Stereo copy in original condition, featuring:

1. an unusual original period EMI stereo sticker sleeve,

2. the sleeve is an original first issue, and has a ‘dark and grainy image’, making the group look as if they are wearing makeup. This image was soon changed to a much lighter, clearer image, 

3 unusually theres no ‘mother’ engraved onto the run off groove on side two, it just has ‘stampers’, ‘G D’ engraved onto the run off groove,

4. on the record label on side two, on track seven, the publishing credit has the mis print of ‘Jobete’, this was soon corrected to read ‘Dominion Belinda’ etc,

5. on the record label and on the rear of the sleeve there is the incorrect spelling of ‘Gotta’, this was soon changed to read ‘Got a’ for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The rear features the original tri-flipback design, all the flipbacks are in excellent condition. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained a clean fresh white for its age, all the text is readable on the spine. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has remained and excellent clean fresh white for its age. There are NO splits, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small tear, 10mm to the front (only) middle opening edge and on the rear three small ‘pen dots’ near to some of the song listings.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. An excellent clean and well preserved sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.  

THE VINYL: is in very good+ condition. It is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and very glossy.    

The matrix are:  YEX  110 - 2  and  YEX 111 – 2,

The mother / stampers are:  ‘ 2  H ’  and  ‘  ?   G D’, unusually theres no ‘mother’ engraved onto the run off groove !,

THE AUDIO: is excellent, side one plays with little in the way of any crackle etc. Side also plays excellent, but I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on track six for approximately the first two minutes of play. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition. The letters ‘ K T ’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, sticker residue or stickers.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
