With the Beatles, unusual 4/4 mono matrix, original 1963 UK LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 mono black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. more unusual, 4/4 mono matrix,

2. early mother/stampers of, ‘1 GT’ and ‘1 RD’,

3. unusual ‘crossed out stamper’ on side one of the record, as the letter ‘A’ has been officially, ‘crossed out’,

4. comes with its original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminate. The laminate has retained an excellent clean glossy finish. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has remained very clean for its age. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s period, ‘tri flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a small ‘nick’ to the front, lower opening edge and some slight blue pen smudges on the rear.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a split to one of the side edges and a 10mm tear to one side of the ‘die cut’ hole.

THE RECORD: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in excellent condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy. The record is made from the original 1960s, quality thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: XEX 447 – 4N and XEX 448 – 4N, more unusual mono matrix,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 GT’ and ‘1 RD’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud powerful period mono sound.

THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PCS 3062, original first issue UK 1964 stereo yellow and black Parlophone records labels.

A UK copy in original condition, featuring:

1. a hard to find, UK 1964 stereo copy featuring a more unusual first issue ‘darker’ printed sleeve, featuring:

a. more ‘redder’ colour to the ‘faces’,

b. the rear of the sleeve appears a lot ‘darker’, later printed sleeves were much lighter and gave an appearance that the images of the Beatles had been ‘cut out’ and ‘pasted onto a much lighter ‘leaf’ background, as there was a distinctive ‘edge’, or outline to the Beatles which is not present on the earlier, ‘darker’ sleeves. Only a small number of these first issue ‘darker / redder face sleeves were ever printed,

2. the records matrix on side two features the ‘number two’ that has been ‘corrected’ or ‘stamped over’ at the EMI factory !,

3. each side of the record has a ‘deep groove’ appearance,

4. the letters ‘MT’ are embossed onto the record label on side two, this is technically incorrect !, as the ‘MT’ code had been discontinued in July 1963 !,

5. comes with its original ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, the front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in near very good condition, it has some of the usual wear and tear to the top and bottom of the spine and has some laminate loss, so only about 70% of the text on the spine is readable. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened the two original ‘flip backs’, top and bottom, ie ‘fold over’ edges can be seen. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. Theres NO stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a split to one side edge and a split to the bottom edge. The is a small area of blue pen on one side and a small 5mm tear to one side of the ‘die cut’ hole.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good condition. Side two is in near very good condition. The record is made from the original quality 1960s, thick heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: side one, YEX 142 – 1, the number two has been ‘stamped over’ a number of times at the EMI factory, side two is, YEX 143 - 1,

The mother / stampers are: ‘4 O’ and ‘2 P’,

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good+, each side plays with some ‘crackle’ and ‘ticks’. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud period stereo sound.

THE LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. The letters ‘MT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. Each label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
