BEATLES UK – With the Beatles, very 1st UK issue Mono ‘Jobete’ label.

1963 PMC 1206 - Yellow and Black Parlophone labels.

A very first issue UK Mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. the record label on side two shows the mis print for the publishing credit for the song ‘Money’, shown as ‘Jobete’, this error was soon corrected to these very first UK issue Mono 1/1 matrix records,

2. the label and the sleeve feature the mis press ‘gotta’ spelling, this was soon changed to read ‘got a’, for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’,

3. a very early ‘dark and grainy’ front sleeve photo shot, now considered to be a misprint, making the group look as if they are wearing make up. This sleeve photo was soon changed to a much lighter and clearer photo image.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, this very first issue, UK press flipback sleeve is laminated to the front. The spine is in excellent condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve has remained very clean for its age. The sleeve features the period tri flipback design to the rear. There are NO splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. To the rear, top right there are some small numbers, 672/67 written in blue pen.

THE VINYL: side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in good++ condition. The vinyl is made of the period ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix nos. are:  XEX 447 – 1N   and   XEX 448 – 1N,   

The mother/stampers are:   ‘ 2  R T ’ and  ‘ 1 6   R G ’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays near excellent with just some light crackle, side two, the audio is good++, there are some ‘marks’ and ‘scuffs’ to side two, side two plays well all the way through with some crackle and ‘ticks’ here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent++ condition, there are the letters ‘MT’ embossed around the spindle hole on side one of the label. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
