BEATLES UK – Abbey Road LP, with three misprints !, first UK press, misaligned apple logo sleeve & rare label etc.

1969 PCS 7088 - apple record labels.

A UK very first press album in original condition, featuring:

1. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve,

2. the front sleeve photo image is out of focus !, see photo of the VW Beetle vehicle car number plate (license plate). On normal sleeves this vehicle ‘number plate’ is clear to read, but on this sleeve it is blurred !, as is the whole of the front sleeve photo. The rear of the sleeve, the image is clear,

3. the record label on side two, ie the white side of the apple, shows a rare mis press, as the text 33 1/3 and PCS 7088 appears on the bottom line of text on the label !, this text normally appears on the second line of text, see the green side, label one which is printed correctly !,

4. on side two of the record label the track ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed, but this track does play on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition, the excellent quality, super glossy sleeve is laminated front and rear. The original thin spine is in excellent condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. As this is a very first UK pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. The printers were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. 

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original EMI plain white sleeve with the text ‘Patent No. 112,5555’ on. A well preserved sleeve that has remained in good clean condition. There are NO tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a slight split to the bottom edge.

THE VINYL: is in very good condition. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl.

The Matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The Mother / Stampers are:  ‘9  R D T’  and  ‘9  G L P’,

THE AUDIO: is very good, it plays with some light crackle and the odd light ‘tick’ here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent condition. As this is a very first UK pressing side one shows a DARK Green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
