Description

Beautiful and Massively Rare Original 1978 U.S. Capital Limited Issue 'White Vinyl' Double Album 'The Beatles (The White Album)' by The Beatles!!! In Stunning Mint- Vinyl Condition!!! Played just Once Before!!! Complete with All 4 Portraits and Original Poster!!! A Stunning Copy of a Very Rare Album!!!

A very special record this one. You are bidding on the mega rare 1978 U.S. Pressed Capital 'White Vinyl' Issue of The Beatles most Controversial LP; the eponymous 'The Beatles' (but known to most as 'The White Album'.) This record split the critics like no other upon release.  What makes this record so special however is that it is one of only a very limited number that were pressed for a VERY short period in the U.S. way back during 1978!!!  These rare White Vinyl pressings hardly ever show up today and when the do it is never with Nr Mint discs and in fully complete condition like this one!!! Finding a complete copy in this condition today is very rare indeed!!! One last thing to be aware of is the pressing date of this record. These were not, as many state, pressed alongside the original U.S. 1968 pressings. The original black vinyl was released in 1968 only!!! The White vinyl runs hadn't even been dreamt up in 1968! It wasn't until 1978 that the U.S. Capital White vinyl pressings came into existence, and they were only pressed in tiny numbers as they were aimed at what was thought by Capital Records executives to be a very niche market at the time, and demand was not anticipated to be high. It wasn't.  This album is mega hard to find, let alone a Nr Mint vinyl copy, and is a serious investment for the future. There are very few pressings left in this condition today so don't miss this one!!! It's the original original 'White Vinyl' U.S. pressing, pressed only in very limited amounts during 1978.

As you'd expect, the Cool burgundy Capital Centre Labels are in superb MINT- condition!!! There are NO Scribbles. NO lifting or Bubbling and NO unwanted writing of any kind to the centre labels - In fact they are as close to Mint as it is possible to get!!! Just the one trace of an almost invisible spindle line on record 1, side 2 and record 2 side 3 and that it!!! This is the only evidence that this record has ever been played!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important matrix are also Mint-. The cool 1970's discs are both in simply stunning condition!!! On the rare occasions that copies of this LP only turn up today, it is completely worn out with lots of scratches and gouges - this one is not!!! These 2 discs have a beautiful shine and have that 'just pressed' look and feel. There are straight MINT-!!! Its as simple as that - NO marks, NO Scratches, NO Hairlines or blemishes whatsoever!!! This record plays as good al it looks!!! in stunning MINT- condition!!! The audio playback on this record is as good as it gets for for this rare record - you will not find one that plays better!!! The classic Gatefold Sleeve is also in great condition with NO Seam Wear, NO Seam Splits, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  It is nice and stiff with a MINT- strong spine with MINT spine text, and folds out perfectly to reveal a stunning unblemished white inner gatefold!!! The sleeve lies totally FLAT with very little of the ring wear commonly associated with this sleeve (although typically, there is a very faint impression of ring wear). There is some minor corner wear but absolutely none of the seam wear that is common with U.S. pressed sleeves. The sleeve has maintained all its original whiteness and the 'The Beatles' lettering is clear and bold (these sleeves were never embossed or issued with unique numbers as were the first UK pressings). This sleeve easily grades as Excellent!!! It is in no way over-graded!!! The 4 heavy photos are all present and complete (not missing John or Paul like most copies!!!). They are in all in Excellent condition and look like they have hardly ever been removed from the sleeve. No pin holes etc. The lyric-printed poster also grades as Excellent, also no sign of it ever having been put on a wall etc.!!! To recap: This is one of only a very limited number that were pressed for a VERY short period in the U.S. way back in 1978!!!  These rare White Vinyl pressings hardly ever show up today and when the do it is never with Nr Mint discs and in fully complete condition like this one!!! An absolutely essential (and very rare) Pressing for any Beatles/ Classic Pop fan to to own!!! Don't miss this one!!!

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...

Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
