I’m selling some duplicate Beatles LPs from my collection, so please check my other auctions for LPs that you may want for your collection.

In this auction:

·       “GREAT NEW RELEASES FROM THE SOUND CAPITOL OF THE WORLD” Capitol Records Promo LP!

·       This is an ORIGINAL U.S. EARLY 1964 RARE PROMOTIONAL ONLY ALBUM.

·       This LP was issued to promote new Capitol Records releases in February, 1964.

·       THESE CAPITOL PROMOTIONAL LPs WERE NOT SOLD IN STORES!

·       This is Capitol PRO 2537/PRO 2538 ISSUED IN FEBRUARY OF 1964.

·       Capitol Records was rather reluctant to pick up and add the Beatles to their label of recording artists from their EMI affiliate in the U.K. Thus, THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PROMOTIONAL ALBUM ISSUED WITH BEATLES MATERIAL IN THE U.S.!

·       IT IS ONE OF THE TRUE EARLY BEATLES RARE RECORDS AND WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN STORES!

·       THE LP CUTS AND REAR COVER DISPLAYS CAPITOL RECORDS THE COMPANY WAS PROMOTING AT THE TIME!

·       THIS LP INCLUDES THE BEATLES SONGS, “IT WON'T BE LONG” AND “THIS BOY” FROM THE BEATLES FIRST CAPITOL RECORDS LP “MEET THE BEATLES”.

·       THE REAR COVER ALSO HAS A PICTURE OF THE "MEET THE BEATLES" ALBUM ALONG WITH THE SONG TRACK LISTINGS ON THIS LP.

·       NOTE THE PROMOTIONAL HYPE LANGUAGE ON THE REAR COVER BESIDE THE IMAGE OF THE “MEET THE BEATLES” COVER WHICH READS: “Here they are…the group that set England afire with their multi-million seller success! Get ready for the hottest thing you’ve heard yet—the wild rocking sounds of The Beatles serves, on a silver platter, just what teenage America wants.”

·        THE COVER IS IN NICE STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION WITH LIGHT (front cover) TO MODERATE (rear cover) OVERALL COVER WEAR and the following blemishes to note: Some tape discoloration in 4 spots where clear scotch tape was applied sometime in the past on the top and bottom seams near the corners, Radio station “WIVE” and the date “2/12/64” written in red marker on the rear cover at the top left corner, some moderate corner wear and a couple of tiny corner pushes. There is some  aging of the white reverse cover. (Check images.)

·       THE VINYL IS IN NICE NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION WITH JUST A FEW VERY LIGHT SURFACE HAIRLINES/SCUFFS.

·       THIS LP ALSO COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL EARLY CAPITOL BLUE INNER SLEEVE ADVERTISING OTHER CAPITOL ALBUMS.
