Description
This is perhaps the nicest mono original pressing Vee-Jay example
ever to grace Ebay. Obtained by me from renowned producer, Tom Moulton
in 1980, this copy is borderline pristine. The cover has NO markings
whatsoever. The gatefold cover is gorgeous. A tiny upper left side seam
abrasion is nearly undetectable upon initial inspection. The two
heavyweight original press records contained within are as if they left
the pressing plant yesteday! I put this Beatles LP in an archival quality
innersleave 25 years ago. No spindle marks or wear are evident on close
inspection. The one thing I will note, which I NEVER detected prior to
preparing this for auction is a small cut mark on the upper right back
cover rear, which indicates a promotional first press run!! This makes
alot of sense, as Tom has been in the industry for many years, and his
collection featured many promo issues.
I'm putting a fair, but not cheap reserve on this package based
on all the above.
While this "promo" did not include the poster, I have added as a
bonus, FIVE period correct mini-posters in VG plus to NM minus to
