A complete 1st UK press with no EMI credit on the labels, 1st mother and very early stampers on disk one and a very low cover number. All four matrixes end in -1.
Here are the matrix numbers, mothers and stampers:
XEX 709-1 1 P
XEX 710-1 1 O
XEX 711-1 2 GGM
XEX 712-1 7 GDH
The playing surfaces have various marks, but play through with no jumps or skips. I've listened to all four sides and found no major issues. On disk one I heard a small number of quiet clicks in a handful of places, but there is nothing loud or persistent, but I did notice some fuzzy distortion in places. However, I didn't hear it on disk two which plays remarkably well apart from some quiet clicks on side four, mainly during Honey Pie. On Side three I didn't hear any issues. The labels have no writing or damage, just spindle marks around the hole. The side one label has a KT tax code.
The poster, photos and inner sleeves are all original and so show inevitable signs of age and wear with some seam splits to the inners, wear and tear on the folds of the poster and some grubby marks on the lyric side etc, but nothing has ever been on a wall so there are no pin-holes, sellotape etc.
The top-opening gatefold cover has some age-related yellowing and some small scuffs and scrapes etc, but nothing out-of-the-ordinary. There is some mild laminate flaking and grubbiness on the spine and some wear to the corners. If you tilt the cover in the light there is a small area of indentation where someone has rested on it while writing something, but this is only minor. Overall, I would say that this is a very decent example and the individual number is really low.
